Multi-Entity Tax Forms

Supports every business structure: Sole Prop (Schedule C), LLC / Partnership (Form 1065), S-Corp (Form 1120-S), and C-Corp (Form 1120).

Frequently asked questions

Is Financial Ledger financial or tax advice?

No. Financial Ledger is bookkeeping software that categorizes transactions and estimates taxes based on publicly available IRS rules. It is not a CPA, EA, attorney, or tax advisor. All estimates are informational only. You are responsible for the accuracy of your tax filings. Please consult a licensed tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

Is it safe to connect my bank account?

Yes. We use Plaid, the industry-standard bank connection service trusted by Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi, and thousands of other apps. We never see your bank username or password — Plaid handles the authentication and sends us only tokenized access. We store your access token encrypted at rest. You can disconnect any account at any time from Settings.

What if I don't want to connect my bank?

You can upload your monthly bank statements as PDFs instead. We extract and categorize transactions from the PDF, then automatically delete the raw file after 30 days per our privacy policy. You always control what data we hold.

What business entities do you support?

We support all major U.S. entity types: Sole Proprietor, Single-Member LLC, Multi-Member LLC, Partnership, S-Corporation, and C-Corporation. Each entity maps transactions to the correct IRS form (Schedule C, Form 1065, Form 1120-S, or Form 1120).

Who can see my financial data?

Only you. We do not sell, rent, or share your financial data with third parties for marketing. Our subprocessors (Plaid, Stripe, Supabase, Anthropic for AI categorization, Resend for email) access data only to provide their specific service. See our Privacy Policy and GLBA Notice for the full list.

How accurate is the AI categorization?

Every AI-categorized transaction comes with a confidence score and stays in pending review until you confirm it — nothing enters your tax reports without your approval. AI does make mistakes, which is why review is built into the workflow: you can change any category in one click.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime. Cancel from Settings → Billing and you retain access until the end of your paid period. After that, your account moves to read-only mode. You can export your data at any time. Refunds are not issued after the 7-day trial ends per our Terms.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings → Account → Request Data Deletion. We will purge your account, transactions, and uploaded files within 30 days per our CCPA obligations. Stripe and Plaid data is deleted per their respective policies upon disconnection.
